White Papers
Purpose
The Interaction Futures White Paper Series publishes rigorous and accessible research aligned with the research themes and evolving priorities of Interaction Futures. The series supports the development and dissemination of research on contemporary marketing and marketplace issues, translating research and evidence into insights for academia and practice.
Scope and Eligibility
White papers should:
Align with the research scope and evolving priorities of Interaction Futures.
Normally arise from or contribute to Interaction Futures research, collaborations, or supervised projects.
Contribute to the development, dissemination, or impact of the broader Interaction Futures research programme.
Affiliation with Interaction Futures does not automatically guarantee publication.
Publication Criteria
White papers should:
Address a clearly defined and relevant research or practice issue.
Be grounded in credible research, data, or other appropriate sources.
Provide original analysis, synthesis, findings, or insights.
Clearly explain the research, data, and methodology used, where applicable.
Combine academic rigor with relevance and accessibility.
Meet applicable research ethics requirements.
Properly acknowledge and reference all sources.
Authorship
Authorship should reflect substantive intellectual contribution to the research and white paper. Where the Director contributes substantially to the research design, conceptual development, analysis, or writing, co-authorship is appropriate. All authors must approve the final paper and consent to publication.
Originality and Prior Publication
White papers should normally comprise original or substantially developed work. Work previously presented at conferences may be considered, subject to applicable publication and copyright requirements. Work already published in full elsewhere will not normally be republished unless substantially revised or extended.
Editorial Review
All white papers are subject to editorial review and approval by the Director of Interaction Futures. Additional academic or practitioner review may be sought where appropriate.
Referencing
White papers should use Harvard author-date referencing consistently, with a complete reference list.
Publication
Accepted papers will be published under the Interaction Futures White Paper Series. Interaction Futures will assign each paper a series number and year.
White papers should include:
Title, author(s), and affiliation(s)
Executive Summary
Main paper
Research approach and methodology, where applicable
References
Authors should also provide a short description (approximately 100–150 words) for website, repository, and publication listings.
Dissemination
A DOI will be assigned through Zenodo as part of the publication process.
Each white paper will carry the following publication statement:

Permanently archived with a DOI via Zenodo
Listed in the Asia School of Business Research Publication Database
White papers will also be featured on the Interaction Futures website.
